The NaraTika Community Learning Center

The NaraTika Community Learning Center (CLC) is VIN’s dream project! It’s an innovative concept and perhaps the first of its kind in Nepal! It is located in Nishankhe, a village in Okhaldhunga District, approx. 250 km from Kathmandu. It takes around 8-9 hours by jeep due to the poor infrastructure.
The CLC is targeting all-age learners; there’s a children’s activity and play room for children aged 3 to 8 years; a library for 8+ years; a training room; a conference hall for up 200 participants; a work station with internet for 16 people; a dormitory for 35-50 people with toilet and shower facilities; a volunteers center; a health center and much more.
VIN has created a space for marginalized and disadvantaged people in rural Nepal to encourage community development, lifelong learning and a way for local people to arrange meetings, workshops and other training programs.
